Messiah's Welcome Statement:  Please click on this "Welcome Statement" link.  We feel that this deserves its own section on our website!

Messiah's Mission Statement:

The mission of the Church is to restore all people to unity with God and each other in Christ.  (Book of Common Prayer, page 855)

Messiah's Vision Statement:

The Episcopal Church of the Messiah is a community striving to live the Good News of Jesus Christ in every aspect of our life together.  We seek to graciously welcome all, respectfully listen to one another, and generously share our gifts with each other and the world.  (Approved by the Vestry February 27, 2007)

Stewardship Statement:

We believe that everything we are and everything we have are gifts from God, our creator.  We believe that Christ calls to us through both word and example to respond to God's abundance by sharing our gifts.  We are committed to doing so in a spirit of joyful gratitude and compassionate generosity.

We believe that our stewardship decisions -- including the way we spend our money, use our time, employ our skills, consume natural resources, and dispose of waste -- reflect our relationships with both God and our world.  We are committed to making these decisions prayerfully and intentionally.

We believe that the tithe, established by scripture and tradition as the standard of proportional giving, should be the goal of every Christian.  We are committed, with prayer and planning, to increasing our giving over time to ten percent of our income.

We believe that God has blessed us with free will, and the wisdom and creativity to make faithful stewardship decisions.  We are committed to supporting each other in our pursuit of these goals.  (Adopted November 19, 2006)
