Report on 2005 Villa Maria Christmas Program

The Villa Maria sponsorship program this year was particularly successful.  We sponsored 5 families, 3 of which needed food and household items in addition to clothing and toys for the children.

During the week before Christmas, 3 social workers came to pick up the donations.  One social worker needed to make two trips to deliver the items, since everything would not fit in her car!

Thank you to everyone who sponsored a child and also to everyone who helped wrap and prepare the gifts for distribution.  A special "thank you" to those who contributed toward the other needs of the families by donating money, food, linens and other household necessities.  This was an unexpected blessing.

As we begin another new year let us remember to keep those families, and the Villa Maria Continuum, in our thoughts and prayers.
